Our onsite workshop boasts 5 highly skilled goldsmiths.

Our clients get the opportunity to witness how their jewellery is being made or repaired, offering a unique perspective on the detail involved in our chosen profession. Maintaining the balance between tradition and technology, our goldsmiths are keeping ancient craftsmanship alive whilst embracing technology. Our state-of-the-art laser welder has transformed what is possible in jewellery repairs and renovations. With over 100 years combined workshop experience, your jewellery is in very safe hands.



Sam has been Goldsmithing for 15 years now and is a fountain of knowledge for all our complex questions about unusual pieces of jewellery that pass through the workshop. She has a lot of experience assembling manufactures and is a dab hand at setting diamonds securely for our clients. Through her years of experience Sam has really honed her art, and her speed and dexterity are sought after assets in her trade.

Did you know that Goldsmithing is an ancient art form that predates the construction of the Egyptian Pyramids?



Chris began his time in the workshop at 16 years old before going to UCA to read Jewellery and Goldsmithing while coming back to the Winchester workshop every summer. After university he began his apprenticeship here and has been with us for the last 7 years. Chris is adept at repair work and dealing with intricate claws combining traditional methods and our state-of-the-art laser to bring the best results to our clients.

Did you know that Chris is Jeremy’s son?



Lucy has been with us for a year. Before that she trained hands-on under a senior Goldsmith along side her creative arts degree in Rochester. She then went on to take courses at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham’s extensive jewellery quarter. With a lot of experience in perfecting ring sizing and beautiful polishing, Lucy knows jewellery is made to be worn and gains huge satisfaction restoring old neglected jewellery to its former glory, giving it a new lease of life.

Abbie joined us in January 2018 as a trainee Goldsmith and has been gaining valuable experience under the guidance of Sam, Chris and Lucy. If you are looking to make a piece of jewellery using your sentimental gold; Abbie is your Goldsmith. She has mastered this delicate art that relies on accurate measurement and a keen eye for detail. She has re-purposed many of our clients’ old jewellery with this fascinating process that transforms tired sentimental gold into something new and appealing.
