Resizing
Our jewellery repairs and restorations service also offers free resizing on new rings purchased from us,* and can usually adjust the size within a couple of hours for you. We also offer an express service for some repairs and alterations if you need something more quickly than our standard timescales permit. Please ask our team about the charges involved with these services.
Timescales
Most repair jobs will take our jewellery repairs and restoration workshop team 1-2 weeks, with more complex repairs and restorations usually taking 3-4 weeks. We will always confirm an estimate for work before proceeding, and will explain any possible additional charges which may arise.
In-House and Outsourced Work
Our jewellery repairs and restorations team understand how precious your jewellery is to you. That’s why our in-store goldsmiths are always on hand to give their expert advice and to work on your pieces.
However, some work, such as engraving, enamelling and complex setting, has to be done by specialists in our trade and we always guarantee that your jewellery is fully insured if we need to send items to our experienced outworkers.
Rhodium Plating
We offer rhodium plating for your white gold rings as part of our jewellery repairs and restoration services. We will always polish off any remaining rhodium and remove the scratches on the surface of the metal to ensure your ring will be shining and ‘white’ all over when it’s returned.
Rings with diamonds and gemstones will have all stone settings checked while in our care, so that you can continue to enjoy wearing your rings with confidence.
*Please note: this excludes silver rings, full eternity rings and some styles which cannot be sized. If a ring style cannot be sized, we will always advise you of this. If the size of a ring is incorrect and cannot be adjusted to fit, we will happily exchange it where possible for the correct size as long as the ring has not been worn.
